DEVO: The Secret to Integrity

Misrepresentations. Masks. Facade (An artificial or deceptive front: ideological slogans that were a façade for geopolitical power struggles. )

I once heard from a well known Christian that had fallen because of deceptions in his life say, "Keep no secrets." And that certainly applies when it comes to integrity. Let's face it, when we "hide" or have "secrets" we find the trust of others dissolve over a period of time.

Check Ephesians 4:25 -- So put away all falsehood and "tell your neighbor the truth" because we belong to each other.

Now look again at the words, "we belong to each other."

It is important to think about the transparency of integrity. When we break down walls and take an honest look at those we love in life -- believers, loved ones, spouses, etc., -- we can begin to see the importance of no secrets. Jesus did not keep secret His love for the whole world. He was real and certainly wants us to be real, truthful, and to honor relationships with those we know on this earth. When we do this, we are being obedient to this scripture!
